Doll Wig Brushes
We send a special doll brush in each kit because a wire wig brush is specifically designed to detangle and smooth the delicate synthetic fibers of the American Girl doll’s wig without causing frizz or breakage. The brush is essential to help a child care for her doll so she looks her best and lasts a long time.

Doll Restoration Supplies
Our volunteers lovingly restore each doll to a clean and playable condition. This involves washing the doll with gentle cleanser and cleaning pads, re-stringing the limbs with elastic and crimps, and removing ink from the vinyl limbs. We also use deep conditioner and lots of water to revitalize doll hair.

We accept new or used 18” American Girl dolls and Bitty Baby dolls — our volunteers lovingly restore each one. Whether she needs tightened limbs, a new wig, or ink removal, we can bring her back to life for a child who needs a companion.

Doll Clothing & Accessories
Every doll kit contains 10-12 outfits including a fancy meet outfit, pajamas, and underwear. A child can dress her doll for school, bedtime, and adventures. We welcome gently-used or new doll clothing, shoes, and accessories to fit an 18″doll or Bitty Baby doll.

Doll Bedding
A doll blanket or sleeping bag allows a child to comfort her doll friend and give her
a cozy place to rest. Blanket sizes may vary as long as it fits an 18” doll. All varieties of crocheted blankets and handmade quilts or sleeping bags are welcomed.

Chapter Books
Each kit includes a chapter book for the child to read alongside her doll. We love American Girl books and other age-appropriate titles in good condition. Books spark imagination and foster a love for literacy!
